Trip Double Check

No fee

Double check an upcoming trip you’ve already booked. Send me what you have and I will rebook what I can with perks attached.

Already booked? It’s not too late.

Found me after you’d already booked a trip and wishing you’d known about a travel advisor’s value earlier? Fret not. I can still:

  • Add myself as your agent of record on existing bookings (if the operator allows) it to apply any relevant perks.
  • Cancel and rebook anything that’s refundable, with the perks attached.

I’ll never move you to a rate that costs more or that comes with worse cancellation terms without your permission.

And if rebooking is the right move, I won’t cancel your existing booking until the replacement is confirmed.

What I’ll need: forwarded emails and confirmations of your existing bookings

What to expect: I’ll get back to you via email with what I can and can’t improve (Some rates, third-party reservations, and points bookings can’t be changed, and some operators don’t offer any perks programs at all). From that point on, if you’d like to move forward, I will collect personal and payment info through a secure form and make the bookings or changes.

For this service, I won’t be recommending alternative operators, room types, or fare types. This is about improving what you’ve already chosen, not changing it.

No fee.

Double-check my trip

Hi Mario — I’d like you to double-check a trip I’ve already booked. I’m forwarding you the confirmation emails separately, so you can see the rate types, what’s refundable and how I paid. Where: [DESTINATION] Dates: [TRAVEL DATES] Travelers: [HOW MANY] Tell me what you can rebook with perks attached.

Then forward your confirmation emails to the same address. Send them as they are — no need to summarize.

Refundable/Non-Refundable Bookings

I will normally default to refundable bookings. You are welcome to let me know when cost is the absolute priority and I will adjust accordingly. In rare cases where a non-refundable option is significantly more attractive, I will flag for you as well.

Travel insurance

I’ll offer the option for travel insurance on every trip involving significant prepaid cost or international travel. You’re free to decline (plenty of people are covered through a credit card or an existing policy) but I’ll always ask. Medical coverage in particular is worth double checking, especially for families.

Passports, visas, and entry requirements

As a courtesy, I’ll flag what I know about entry requirements for your destinations, including passport validity rules. For example, many countries require six months’ validity beyond your travel dates. However, final responsibility for passports, visas, and entry eligibility rests with each traveler. Requirements change and vary by nationality. Check the official source for your passport and confirm before anything bookings become irreversible.

How to reach me

Email, text, WhatsApp, LINE - whichever one you already use. I’ll match whatever channel you start on. Confirmations will always follow via email.

Most days I’m based in New York, and I travel often. If we are connecting from different time zones, please expect a delay in my response.

Fees and refunds

Where applicable, planning fees are charged when we start work and refunded on the scheduled departure date of the first booking I make for you. Group fees are non-refundable. Full terms are on the terms page.
